Experts Agree: Spring in the Northwest Arrives in February

        It's an interesting weather phenomenon that has been wowing Northwest gardeners for years... when the Northwest Flower & Garden Show arrives in February, it doesn't matter what the weather is outside - inside it's Spring!

        From February 7 - 11, 2001, the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in downtown Seattle will be ablaze with the sights, sounds and scents of Springtime in the Northwest.  This year, new additions and an improved floorplan will be sure to delight first- time show goers and veterans alike.

        The Northwest Flower & Garden Show, presented by US Bank, has gained an international reputation as one of the finest Spring flower shows in the world.  With 28 spectacular gardens, 90 information-packed seminars, 350 commercial booths, 50 educational exhibits, 16 garden vignettes, the Northwest's premiere orchid show and nearly 80,000 attendees, it's not surprising!

        The 2001 Northwest Flower & Garden Show will run for five days, Wednesday, February 7 through Sunday, February 11.  Show hours are 9:00 am. - 9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.  The Washington State Convention and Trade Center is located at Eighth and Pike in downtown Seattle.  Show information is available by calling 800-229-6311 or at www.gardenshow.com
